Dr Anil Parmar

Anil qualified from the University of Sheffied in 1991 and has worked in general practice both in the UK and in Australia, before taking over as principal dentist at High Street Dental Care in 2000.
Providing general dental care to all ages of patients with an emphasis on high quality care and devoting the appropriate amount of time to achieve this.
He has a special interest in restorative dentistry and dental implants having completed post graduate advanced courses. Certified to provide facial rejuvenation treatments including botulinum and dermal fillers. Achieved Denplan Excel Accreditation since 2009.
In his spare time, Anil enjoys playing golf, running, learning to play the guitar, and spending time with his family.

Dr James Williams

James graduated from Manchester Dental School and joins High Street Dental Care following a 13-year career in the Royal Marines and Royal Army Dental Corps. His military experience has shaped a calm, professional, and reassuring approach to patient care.
James believes in empowering you through education, helping you understand your dental health and feel confident and in control of your treatment choices. He is currently undertaking an MSc in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Institute, one of the UK’s leading centres for advanced dental training. This provides him with enhanced expertise in complex restorative dentistry, including advanced restorative planning and long-term dental rehabilitation.
James has a particular interest in treating nervous and anxious dental patients, taking time to build trust and develop confidence in attending the dentist. His gentle, structured approach is especially valued by patients who have had difficult dental experiences in the past.
James lives locally, in the Hope Valley, with his wife Katie and their two young children. He enjoys barbecuing, rearing pigs (very compatible hobbies) and cycling when family life allows.

Dr Nicky Dehbonei

Dr Nicky Dehbonei graduated in dentistry in July 2018 from the European University of Valencia, Spain, where she studied in both English and Spanish.
Following graduation, she worked as a general dentist in France and Switzerland for over four years. During this time she continued to develop her skills through postgraduate certificates at the University of Paris in oral surgery, periodontics and prosthodontics, alongside continuing education at the University of Geneva. Her growing interest in restorative and conservative dentistry also led her to study Dental Radiography at King’s College London, where she qualified in Dental Cone Beam CT Radiological Interpretation in December 2020.
In December 2025 she completed her Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Endodontics, a three-year full-time programme during which she treated a wide range of complex endodontic cases.
Dr Nicky Dehbonei is fluent in English, French, Spanish and Farsi, with strong spoken Italian and a current interest in learning Russian. Outside of dentistry she enjoys painting, pottery, reading and badminton.

Hannah Moore

Hannah qualified as a Dental Therapist and Dental Hygienist in 2017 at the University of Sheffield. During this training she gained experience in the departments of Dental Practice, General Anaesthetic Clinic at Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Implant Surgery, Oncology, Oral medicine, Orthodontics, and Paediatrics.
Prior to a career in dentistry Hannah obtained a National Diploma in Art and Design in 2007 from Leek College of Art and Design. She still enjoys her creative side alongside her dental position, regularly selling her art work.
Hannah enjoys being in the hills as much as she can hiking, mountain biking and enjoying the beauty of the peak district.

Emma Smith

Emma qualified as a dental hygienist in 1997 at Manchester University Dental Hospital. Emma provides a gentle and supportive role to give patients autonomy of their own oral health care via her dedication to patient education about oral health and hygiene. In her spare time she enjoys baking and mountain biking.
